Mission Statement
We are a membership nonprofit using our passion for wine and food to better the health and well-being of our community hosting public wine and food events, educational opportunities and the finest wine auction in the Southwest funding culinary scholarships, educational grants and other deserving causes.
To date, The Wine & Food Foundation of Texas has enriched the community and the state by awarding over $197,000 in scholarships to culinary arts students, providing $200,000 to the annual Texas Sommelier Conference and giving over $1 million to other worthy organizations through our grants awards program.
To carry out our mission, the Foundation hosts unrivaled, first-rate wine and food events, entertaining and educating our members and the public in the enjoyment and excellence of wine and food, all while raising funds for our community. The Foundation boasts an active membership program created to connect and inspire wine lovers and foodies of all interests and abilities. Foundation Facts
The Wine and Food Foundation started the Rare and Fine Wine Auction in 1985.
Since 1985, we have given over $1.75 million dollars back in to the community.
In our 27 year history, we have auctioned off over 20,000 bottles of Rare and Fine Wine.
We are working with Dell Children’s Medical Center as the beneficiary of the 28th Annual Rare and Fine Wine Auction.
We have awarded KLRU over $800,000 for educational public television programming.
We are the co-presenter of the annual TEXSOM Conference awarding $25,000 annually.
We have underwritten the TEXSOM annual education conference since it’s inception in 2005 awarding $175,000 to date.
We offer the largest annual culinary scholarship in the US awarding $15,000 to the winner.
We have awarded $192,000 in Culinary Scholarships.
