Russell Korman Fine Jewelry joins forces with Breitling U.S.A. and Roberto Coin for Charity
Russell Korman Fine Jewelry presents $5,000 to The Wine & Food Foundation of Texas through “Fine Wine, Watches, Jewelry & Cuisine” event.
Austin, Texas – Through a unique partnership, Russell Korman Fine Jewelry and Watches, one of Austin’s top jewelry retailers joined forces on May 10th with Brietling U.S.A, and Roberto Coin to host Fine Wine, Watches, Jewelry and Cuisine. Breitling U.S.A. is renown for their extraordinary watches and Roberto Coin is one of the top jewelry designers in the nation. This outstanding tasting event, held at the Korman store, paired many peoples’ favorite passions – eating, drinking and shopping, together for a good cause. The three lead sponsors, Korman, Breitling U.S.A. and Roberto Coin presented the Foundation with a $5,000.00 check.
Russell Korman, founder of the business and a 25 years veteran of the industry is known for his active involvement in the community and for innovative ways of raising money for Austin charities. This is the second year for the event, with the addition of Roberto Coin.
Over 100 people packed the sold-out event, which, in addition to exclusive jewelry designs, featured the local star-power of Stewart Scruggs with the ever-popular Zoot and Wink restaurants. Guests were treated to a selection of fine wines and champagne provided by Horizon Wines that included Raventos i’Cava Brut, one of the best cava sparklings from Spain; Honig Sauvignon Blanc, Chateau de la Greffiere Macon la Roche; Ramspeck Pinot Noir and Torbeck Woodcutters Shiraz.
Hank Korman, brother of Russell Korman and Board member of The Wine & Food Foundation lauded the partnership between the companies, “It’s wonderful to be able to leverage our resources to benefit our local community. Not only are Breitling and Roberto Coin excellent companies with stellar reputations, but they are also highly community-minded and we appreciate the partnership and tradition we have created.”
Hank and his wife Monica are involved in many Austin charities and consider The Wine & Food Foundation an excellent fit with their interests and also their business community. “Like jewelry, painting or any art other form, cuisine and winemaking requires artistry, skill and excellence. The Wine & Food Foundation of Texas is one of the most active supporters of education and excellence in the culinary and viticulture arts and have had tremendous impact on our state. People recognize and appreciate that.”
Patrick Cawthorne of the 100 year-old Breitling watch company gave attendees an exclusive viewing of rare and limited edition instruments. Breitling quartz watches are world-renowned for being ten times more accurate than the standard quartz watch and they produce many of the world’s most accurate, high-end men’s automatic timepieces.
Mikel Arnedo, with Roberto Coin was on hand to personally walk guests through a tour of his latest jewelry collection, offering some rare and exclusive designs.
Before the evening’s end, four lucky guests were treated to a drawing of Russell Korman gift certificates, a dinner at Zoot and a beautiful gold bracelet, donated by Roberto Coin.
