October was full of exciting staff changes for The Wine and Food Foundation of Texas. The Foundation had not one, but two new faces join the team – Jennifer Westfall as the Event Director and T. Marshall Jones as the Executive Director.

Stars fill the dark Utah sky as I step out of the Solitude Sports Center and into my skinny cross-country skis. Along with 20 other people, some on skis and some on snowshoes, I follow our guide to a Mongolian-style yurt for a gourmet dinner that's been recognized by Zagat as a top dining experience. Apparently, no one in our group has any experience with skis or snowshoes, but that doesn't seem to hinder any of us from making the short trek up the snowy, lantern-lit trail.
