“Tour de Vin is a special event for the Foundation because
it is a community-wide celebration of diversity in the culinary
and viticulture arts. It is an opportunity to experiment with
unique flavors and pairings, while learning about global cuisine,” said
J. Buckner Hightower, president of Wine & Food Foundation.
“It’s also a special honor for us to work alongside Whole Foods
Market. They are equally committed to and passionate about wine
and food as we are and work hard to make this event truly outstanding.”
Elizabeth
Leader Smith, Whole Foods Market’s Community
Relations Coordinator agrees, “Tour de Vin is one of the
many ways in which we actively participate in Austin’s
exploding wine and food community. It’s a creative atmosphere
that brings together dynamic chefs, vintners, and wine and food
lovers. We see it as a vehicle to showcase global wines and cuisine.”
An Austin evening under the stars would not be complete without
live music. Enjoy enchanting tunes from local bilingual singer/songwriter,
Patricia Vonne. Vonne, one of the busiest artists on the Texas
live music scene is releasing a new album Firebird this
month. Her music is an electrifying mix of musical styles and
she has opened for superstars such as Cyndi Lauper.
